Terms of Use

This page provides you with the terms of use (the Terms) for the KRYS I Corpus (the Corpus) collected during a research project at the Digital Curation Centre (DCC) and the Humanities Advanced Technology and Information Institute (the HATII), of the University of Glasgow. Should you not agree with any of these terms please refrain from using the collection.

Access to the Corpus is provided to you without charge, given that the use of the Corpus is for research purposes only. The authors of the Corpus, at their discretion, may provide you with a password to access the Corpus, provided that you complete the necessary information requested during the registration process, agree to the Terms in this page, and, that the information provided during the registration process is accurate. This password is for the sole use of the person who sent the request and may not be redistributed. You may use the password only for purposes in accordance with the Terms.

The copyright of the content of the Corpus remains with the copyright owners of the original documents. The use of the documents and the corpus may require prior permission from the copyright owners of the documents and may be governed by other legal requirements. Any use is at your own risk and the Digital Curation Centre, HATII, or the University of Glasgow will not be liable for your actions. If any infringement of the law related to the contents of this collection (such as unauthorised use of passwords, copyright infringement, the collection of personal data, harassment or “spamming”) is discovered by the DCC, it may be reported to the responsible authorities.

By providing us with your personal information you also agree that we may contact you to give further information about the Corpus and distribute questionnaires about your use of it. We will not forward your information to third parties or use it in any other but the mentioned ways.

The classification of the KRYS I corpus is an intellectual property of HATII, University of Glasgow. The correct copyright notice must accompany any use of our Corpus, and the work acknowledged by citing:

The authors of the Corpus are not responsible for any of the contents of the documents and any damage caused by its use. We therefore also give no guarantee for the accuracy of the information given within these.

The KRYS I Corpus is a non-commercial project and the Corpus and its content are available for non-commercial use only.
